Black Label Old Vines Shiraz
Wine
Wynns Coonawarra Estate Black Label Old Vines Shiraz draws from premium Shiraz vineyards throughout Coonawarra. Though the region is known for its Cabernet, in its early history it centred on Shiraz.
One of the heartland plantings from the 1880s – among the oldest vines in Coonawarra – contribute a portion of the fruit. The character of these old vines provides a balance of intensity and weight in the finished wine.
The winemaking aims to capture the cool climate style of Coonawarra Shiraz. After fermentation, the wine matures for 14 months in new and seasoned French oak.
Intense ruby, Wynns Coonawarra Estate Black Label Old Vines Shiraz has layers of vibrant fruit and spice flavours, underpinned by tightly focused tannins. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
